Where Love Stays

Valentine’s day for many people is about flowers, sweet messages, and quiet dates. But for me, the day is spent inside the church. While others are out celebrating, i am wearing my sutana, standing near the altar, helping during the mass. Tt may not look like the usual way to celebrate love, but in my own way, it feels just as meaningful.

While serving, i notice the small things around me. Couples sitting beside each other, families praying together, and the calm feeling inside the church. It reminds me that love is not only shown through gifts or grand gestures. Sometimes it is simply being present, praying for someone, or giving your time to serve.

That is why, for me, valentine’s day inside the church always feels different. in that quiet moment of service and prayer, i realize that love does not always need to be loud to be real. Sometimes it is found in the simple act of serving.
